If you get this internship people, this will be your one of the mega weapons you can use during your MBA applications. Trust me, this name will make a lot of difference.
So you cannot apply to the TFI fellowship or couldn't get through the strict application process of Teach for India? You can always compensate by doing an internship or volunteering which will make your resume shine as well!
But one thing is for sure- any type of association with TFI will change you for the good both professionally and personally. It will be at least one of your most cherishable experiences of your life. The place is challenging and demanding.
Here is the link to apply: Teach for India Careers
The email ID to be used or applying is given on each job page.
Being an ex-intern myself, here are some tips:
1. I had applied through a leading internship portal, so I directly received a call from HR for a phone interview which lasted for 45 minutes (the HR team is good, Beware!)
2. Make sure you go very carefully through the Job Description of the opportunity that you are applying for. They will ask you about how much you know regarding that.
3. Always think of examples which stress on how you have got the skills that are required for your opportunity. They will ask you how you performed in those situations and cross question too.
4. They will ask you situational questions wherein you've got to answer how you will react/perform. Go through their key values, vision, mission and careers page to find what kind of people they hire. Team work must be highlighted.
5. Also, knowing local language is preferable, and of course, you must have a personality that kids would love!
